{     BANDIT-1$M from 123KLAN     }

I've been a fan of SCIEN & KLOR of the 123KLAN since, well, the year 2000 - with their distinct graffiti-vector style, bitten by thousands over the years. Well today I got an email from the boys informing me that they've branched out and have begun their own clothing line called BANDIT-1$M, and all I can say is ABOUT TIME. The first two tees released, shown above in yellow, are available in several great colorways and I'm sure more heat is yet to come. Each tee is limited to 50 pieces and you can get your wallet out at the links below.

Also! This just in! Scien just sent us an email to tell us that the limited-edition blue NED ZED figure shown below will be soon be available at their shop as well! Nice!

{     Poketo • Winter o7' - o8'     }

Since it’s introduction into my life, Poketo has been consistently one of the most artistically innovative merchants I have come across. With their recent releases, which include new signature Poketo apparel and decorative plate sets, I can say without hesitation that the line from Poketo just got kicked up a notch.

{     Worn Free • o8'     }

Remember when Iggy Pop was heard in places other then stupid cruise commercials? To steal a line from an old favorite of mine, “those were the days.” What can possibly be done to remind yourself that Iggy isn’t a corporate shill? Why don’t you say, revisit his musical catalog and while you’re at it invite the Iggy of old into your life. No, I’m not going to give you the schematics to a time machine (I just know you’d create a time paradox and destroy the universe). Instead I’m going to direct you to a really cool place Crown Dozen mentioned once before, Worn Free.

{     David Flores' Mickey Mouse     }

Stunning stencil artist David Flores apparently teamed up with Medicom this month to produce this bonkers signature Mickey Mouse, covered in Flores' trademark camo pattern. The five-inch figure is for now only for sale at for about $45 US, so now you gotta decide if the shipping is worth it to you... (correct answer is yes). It even matches the palette!

Fantastic new interview with painter Eric White up over at Fecal Face, conducted by contributing author Manuel Bello! It's a must-read!

{     Craola Super Rad Goshodoll     }

Our homeboy Greg "Craola" Simkins is dropping another super fresh toy with the good folk over at Super Rad. The Ningyo Gosho doll who has been tricked out by some other great talent in the past featured here on C12 (posted by resident bad-ass Adam), is one that you can not help but fall in love with. Rocking that ultra smooth argyle vest that we all wish we could pull off and the rope in hand, that could be used for all kinds of recreational purposes in itself. These are very limited and will not last but if you are in the Los Angeles area you can swing by and pick one up at the signing release party. "Craola" himself will be in attendence while you listen to some fresh spinning and sip a cocktail or two. Have fun kids!

{     Adam's Top Toys in the '07     }

2007 was an interesting year for toy lovers; there was a lot of speculation about the bubble finally bursting on the collectible vinyl scene as things seemed to reach a kind of critical mass towards the end of '06 with tons of throwaway designs flooding shelves as everyone tried to jump on the bandwagon. Thankfully, most of Crown Dozen's fave companies and designers decided to play it safe this past year by focusing on quality in favor of quantity, cranking out some of the best pieces we've seen to date.

Here's my stab at the top baker's dozen of '07, please click "Read on" below to see pics and read my full commentary, along with my take on repaints, variants, mainstream toys and what's looking hot for '08:

13. Gary Panter's "Jimbo" by Dark Horse
12. Kii Aren's "La La" by Munky King
11. Bob Dob's "Lueys" by Strangeco
10. Amanda Visell's "Pink Elephant featuring Drunky McSkunky" by Munky King
9. Mr. Cartoon's "Lost Angel" by Super Rad Toys
8. Frank Kozik's "Necromorth the Christraper" Ningyo by Super Rad Toys
7. Junko Mizuno's "Keiko the Director" by Kid Robot
6. Craola x Upper Playground "Walrus" by Ningyoushi
5. Brian Flynn x Gargamel "Visighost" by Super7
4. Bill and Jerry Frissen x Monster 5 "Red Demon" by Muttpop
3. Glen Barr's "Hell's Proprietor" by Dark Horse
2. Skwak's "Maniac" by MINDstyle
1. eBoy x Kid Robot's "PEECOL" by Kid Robot

{     The Gentlemen's Gang at Gallery 1988 SF     }

There is an amazing show popping off tonight (1/5/08) in San Francisco, The Gentlemen's Gang at Gallery 1988. If you are anywhere near SF I suggest you make the trip as it will be “A Really Good Night” featuring the artwork of the incredible Nathan Ota, Bob Dob and Daniel Peacock. Or if you are just in the market to pick up an iconic piece there are still some lurking around and up for grabs. Best of luck!
