{     Red Fang "Prehistoric Dog"     }    

In the above photo a Grolsch mini-keg reborn as warhammer waits, ready to wreck havoc thru the hills in the gnarly fists of PDX's latest loud-as-fuck rock vikings, Red Fang. A more fitting symbol for the pummeling four-piece will not be found, unless it was rather a keg of PBR.

Unleashed on New Year's Eve of 2006 in Portland, Oregon, Red Fang stormed out of the gates and into a sweaty, seething basement with a new kind of unforgettable fist-pumping, beer-chugging rock. Simmering somewhere between Black Flag and Black Sabbath, Red Fang easily shifts from barn-burning punk to mid-tempo, hyper-distorted bass destruction all while maintaining a cohesive stoner rumble - truly a gigantic rock sound. Since that night, the band has continued the same intensity and energy, becoming a tour juggernaut, playing alongside the likes of The Melvins, Big Business, The Sword, and currently the mighty Clutch.

Red Fang's self-titled debut, a collection of the band's first two EP's, sees a US release on March 10. Tour dates, the LARP-y video for "Prehistoric Dog" and an accompanying MP3 download free after the jump!
