{ Recent Art Hits }

I may be a bit late on mentioning these recent art shows, but I just couldn't sleep at night if I didn't at least bring them all up in some fashion on CrownDozen.com. Click below to get your eyes all sexxxed out with the work of Maya Hayuk, Jim Houser, Jeff Soto and Phil Frost.
First, I'd like to bring to your attention this group of photos on Supertouch of some of Phil Frost's recent work at the Elms Lesters Painting Rooms in London. You'll find paintings Phil has completed for a new group show opening at Elms this Friday, October 5th titled “Small, Medium, and Large.”

Next is the selection of photos from the recent Jeff Soto and Jim Houser show titled "Storm Clouds / asobviousasaskull" at NYC's Jonathan Levine Gallery. Great new work from the both of them; Soto doing a great job after recent shows have met with mixed opinions, and Houser cementing himself in my faves - and I'm sure doing the same for many other viewers of this recent work. Once again it's Supertouch with the Soto and Houser photo goods. More photos from the show can be seen on this page on Juxtapoz.com. Lastly, check out this interview with Mr. Houser on Fecal Face!
Moving on, there was the show titled "Forevers" from Brooklyn-based artist and another of my personal favorites Maya Hayuk at Fifty24SF in San Francisco. The show coincided with the release of Maya's new hardcover book of her work called Just Good Vibes. I wish I was in SF so I could see it for myself because, as with all of Maya's work, I'm sure it blows minds in person. Pics of the Maya Hayuk "Forevers" show can be seen here on Juxtapoz.com.
