{     Chronicle Books - “Dante’s Divine Comedy Boxed Set”     }

Summer reading is easier said then done. With all the new “best sellers” and those classics you’ve always wanted to get around to, how are you supposed to find something that will quench the thirst for a good read. I recently got my chance by getting a hold of the brilliantly revisited “Dante's Divine Comedy” Boxed Set by Sandow Birk and Marcus Sanders. This is by and far one of the coolest pieces of literature you can get your hands on. By revisiting the timeless texts of Dante’s Divine Comedy, adapted by Marcus Sanders and Birk, you will be greeted with the ingenious artwork of Sandow Birk (whose art is a contemporary spin on Gustave Doré's infamous masterpieces).

Each book is 240 pages of the classic tale, well spun with the vision of a modern eye. Sights you would recognize as well as present day icons (I’m pretty sure Dante never imagined ATMs and mini-malls way back in the 13th century as comparative locations to be depicted in his writings).

You could easily buy each book separately (at retail price of $22.95 each) or you could just get the box set (Chronicle sells it for $79.95, Amazon has it currently priced at $63) which includes not only the appropriately matched decor box but a sleeve containing over a dozen of these stunning paintings (sized about 8 x 10 with borders). My tip would be get the box set, it’s worth it.
