{ Jib Hunt }
To classify the New York based designer, Jib Hunt, as merely a splash of urban color in an already saturated urban market would be a tremendous injustice. In the latest Jib Hunt release, the summer line, I was able to snag a few pieces for review to prove this point.
Blending vivacious with both urban and popular culture art, Jib Hunt takes an original stab to that the line of apparel we’ve become incredibly accustomed to. Breaking the mold is this design that uses not only the colors of the design but of the shirt, to make subtly and emphasis, two strange bedfellows, get their freak on (only this time it’s not going to cost you a phone call explaining how drunk you were at the time).
Using a comfortable, but familiar grain of hundred percent cotton tee, Jib Hunt has decked out sweet designs to make you stand out in the sweat drenched heat. As for how it holds up after some wears, you have no reason to worry. Your sweat will come clean and your design will remain fresh. With some unique art coloring up your torso, you want to be sure it’ll stand out for a long time. It’s no wonder that Jib Hunt’s art can be seen grinding the rails on some hot decks or cutting up the slopes on some sweet boards.
Drop by the site, check out his lines, and follow Jib Hunt down the rabbit hole.
