{ 2K by Gingham }
2K by Gingham is here, bringing art to the masses...literally. No longer do you have to scour the museum gift shops to find your favorite Basquiat design on a shirt. What’s even more impressive then the quantity of artists is the wide variety of works to select from. Artists from Barry McGee to Jeff Canham and then some have been allowed to make the leap from one form of canvas to another.
2K by Gingham was started in 2000 after countless treks ranging from the Japanese clothing market to the gift shop at the Philadelphia Museum of Art caught the attention of 2K’s founders, noticing the void missing in the market back in the states. Bringing art to the masses is one of 2K by Gingham’s goals but they still remain totally anti-mass marketing. While their product is a great way of conveying the multitude of cooperative artists works, it’s also a way 2K has been able to convey their gratitude to these artists for bringing their work to the world.
As mentioned, the amount of artists to choose from his large and varied. The product, specifically their line of tees, comes in a standard cotton and certainly stands up as a great buy. There was little to any change after wearing and washing, proving that your chance to prove Che can smile (thanks to Shynola’s Che tee) can last for a very long time.
Be sure to look over 2K by Gingham’s whole catalog and I guarantee you will find something worth ponying up a little green.
