{     Craola Show at Fifty24SF     }

Craola11.jpgThere has been some rumors going around about the actual turn of events that went down at Fifty24SF gallery in San Francisco this past week. Yes, a car did smash thru the front end of the gallery. Yes there were some serious injuries. Yes the dude who was arrested did escape from the hospital and is still on the run... these are the facts. But what is unclear is what was the motive. Was it that he was still hoped up on coke and booze from the night before. Was it truly an assassination attempt on the local flyer guy. This all still remains a mystery.

What is not a mystery is that he was not able to stop the "Don't Sleep" Greg "Craola" Simkins show that popped off just days after the crash fest in lower height. Not only did the show still go down, but it also showed some of Greg's sickest works to date. Big ups to the Upper Playground crew for hooking it up and pulling it off in spite of the madness. Luckily the only blood shed at this event was that of the lambs as you walked up the main entrance. With another huge piece titled "The Third Trial" to some pretty intricate drawings and everything in between, there was something for everyone...

If you are not able to check out the show in person (which runs till late feb) then I suggest that you take a minute to see it online. Good luck getting a "Craola" piece as the entire show sold out in like a minute. Fear not as Greg will be showing at the Lineage Gallery this summer with a whole new batch of goodness. Keep your eye on this guy as he is going to be catching some serious attention this year and for years to come. To see more from the show head to the gallery.
