{ I Love TV! - Early 90's Edition }
1. The Arsenio Hall Show
2. Get a Life
3. The Kids in the Hall
4. Liquid Television
5. The Ben Stiller Show
6. The Adventures of Pete and Pete
7. The Idiot Box
8. Twin Peaks
9. Batman: The Animated Series
10. Beverly Hills 90210
11. Ren and Stimpy
12. Northern Exposure
wow...The Adventures of Pete and Pete...that was a great one; they don't make 'em like that anymore. The Kids in the Hall...also fantabulous. And there's just no cartoon better than Ren and Stimpy('cept South Park).

I only lament that there wasn't room to include some of my other Nickelodeon faves, like Hey Dude! and Clarissa Explains It All.
I'm secretly working on an I Hate TV! list too.
Any suggestions? (Early 90's and Beyond)
They just put out Northern Exposure's second season on DVD, which kinda made me cream my proverbial pantses.

You're the first person I thought of when I saw that! I was all "I know what I'm getting Shane for Christmas..."
But then I started thinking about it, and since you love it so much there's no way you either don't already have it, or that somebody else has already picked it up for you.
So, I got you this instead-

Posted by: Adam at December 15, 2004 8:14 PMThe Idiot Box?! Hells, yeah!!
Posted by: soy at December 15, 2004 9:00 PMI am so glad somebody else remembers The Idiot Box. Poor fucking Alex Winter- he got no respect after Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, while Keanu went on to ultra-mega-super-stardom.
I absolutely love Winter's 1993 film Freaked, and it's about time for a glorious cult ressurection of this and The Idiot Box via the DVD gods.
Posted by: Adam at December 15, 2004 9:54 PMyou glaringly omitted Rocko's Modern Life, even from your runners-up list.
Posted by: Sean at December 15, 2004 10:47 PMToo true-
Rocko's Modern Life is a classic, and I'm a fool for not remembering it.
Posted by: Adam at December 16, 2004 3:05 AMI believe a good choice for an I Hate TV! list is "The Amanda Show"...not funny what so ever. Also, another really good 'toon you left out was The Angry Beavers.
Posted by: Katie Laish. at December 18, 2004 8:17 PMI'm a huge Kids in the Hall fan. They played a big part of my high school years.
Posted by: Al aka El Negro Magnifico at December 22, 2004 2:32 AMThis is a super list.
I nominate "Eerie, Indiana" and "Square One TV" as runners-up.
