{ Dub Side of the Moon }
Dub Side Of The Moon is a Complete Reggae Version of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon. The Easy Star All-Stars' stunning reinvention of this beloved record features entirely new recordings with guest vocal appearances by Frankie Paul, Corey Harris, Gary "Nesta" Pine (of the Wailers), The Meditations, Dr. Israel, Ranking Joe, Sluggy Ranks, and more. Every detail is there, from sound effects to Wizard of Oz synchronicity.Alright. That Said... "I" think this album is Freakin' Awesome! Imagine if you will the creation of Dark Side in an Alternate Dub universe! This album is good enough to stand on it's own. If you are into Dub/Reggae you will immediately connect to this album. Besides being Technically sound, it's laced with "Herbal" humor.. as witnessed at the begining of "Money's" bong hits intro.. Very funny. All the songs have such care taken in them.. in fact the whole album took about 3 years to make.. the c.d. includes four bonus tracks of remixes that are cool too. this link takes you there, where you can listen to some of the tracks (flash required) http://www.easystar.com/dubsidemain.html (feat.: Money, The Great Gig In The Sky, Us and Them, and the bonus Track Step it Pon The Rastaman Scene).
Okay, i'm done blabbing.. go to the website.. buy it!!!

I think that this dub remake shit is for the birds. Why not a IDM interpretation of the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" score...!?
IDM is the future. In the IDM future everyone will be cranky from standing too close to their laptops during live performances. Make the werewolves buy walkmen. Let the dirty fur be desirable. Tounge flicks through fangs. In a sensual way. Not in a way that threatens normal standard global operating proceedure.
My mom would rather buy my sister tanning bed appointments than a menial P.C.
So I take it out on you honorable fuckers.
I miss the fist.
I learn.
The carpet burn it makes the clock turn.
You notice moments even more when you are in pain.
Rolling Stone said it was complete nonsense.
I burned this cd and gave it to everyone I know. Those guys are ripping off Floyd, so they deserve it. If you want, I also have the Autechre remake of "The Wall" and the death metal version of "The Division Bell".
Please don't burn the latter two. It makes the artist poor, and therefore more creative.
If this makes you mad then check and see how much sense it makes logically.

It's great to know they teamed up to spend three years re-doing a classic album. I like how they took out all the bad ass guitars, because guitars suck.
I licky boom boom down
I give this 4+ Stars.
